Bear Ranch
The Oswald Bear Ranch is a safe haven for rescued bears and has become a well renowned tourist destination, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year. Located in Newberry, Michigan, The Bear Ranch offers visitors the opportunity to experience Black Bears up close.
UI Design
The objective was to design a user interface that would be simple, intuitive, and engaging
while clearly communicating the Oswald's commitment to the bears living
in vast, wild habitats much like the ones they would roam in the wild.
I went for on an adventurous and wild looking aesthetic while focusing on keeping it simple and responsive.
Website landing page & main page
In addition to designing the layout of the website, and creating all the graphics, I did the photography seen on the site.
Billboard Design
The Bear Ranch is located in a remote part of the Upper Peninsula, and county road 407 can be easy to miss.
to ensure visitors don’t miss the turn I designed a billboard to have displayed at the turn to guide visitors to the Ranch.
Souvenir Book Design
I designed and wrote the book, "For the Love of Bears" inspired by a previous piece written by the late Suellen May.
The book also features images I captured for the Bear Ranch in years previous.
